What is a Wine and Chocolate Tasting with Gourmet Madrid Like?

Here’s a brief overview of the experience of a wine and chocolate tasting.

The Tasting: Introduction

There will be a brief introduction to the world of wine and chocolate.

The Tasting

The wine and chocolate tasting begins. One by one, you will taste the 5 wines and 4 chocolates, trying to identify flavors and harmonies or contrasts. You can interact with the sommelier and share your opinions. What aromas do you perceive? How does it behave in your mouth? What is the aftertaste? Do you like it?

Will a robust red Toro wine, a ripe Monastrell, a bold Cabernet Sauvignon, or a refined classic Rioja be better? What are the key points of harmony that these wines offer, or on the contrary, what is the origin of a possible surprising contrast?

Wine tour Ribera Review

Ismael made our tour wonderful. I was staying in a hotel near Atocha station, which was close to the pick-up station. Ismael was a great guide, knew his wine, helped translate when needed and invited us to a local restaurant for lunch. It was one of my favorite meals during my week-long visit. One of the owners of the wine did not know English, but he knew his wine very well. I ordered him a case for help. To help the owner, Ismael gave the tour. 100 would go again and do the same route with Ismael.

I had a great time on this tour and Carlos does a great job of helping everyone feel included and makes sure everyone is having a good time. The tapas selection was varied at each location and the wine choices on the tour were excellent. Definitely a lot of food for everyone and an enjoyable experience in Madrid.

A fantastic tapas tour through a good variety of boutique venues with a rich variety of food and wine. Carlos was an excellent guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and eager to answer as many questions as he could. I also met a very friendly group of fellow travelers on the tour. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Madrid for a short or long time. It is a very entertaining evening. It was very good value for money as well.
